3Com Router Passwords – Default Login for 3 Com Broadband Modems

Broadband Routers and Network Element manufacturers generally put a feature in their devices, which allows the users to access their devices through the web browser, running on ay computer, which is connected to that device. Generally, it is through a private IP Address like 192.169.1.1, whiche you have to type in your browser’s address bar.

To prevent un-authorized use, the manufacturers also set a default username and passwords in the firmware of their device. You have to enter that login detail so as to access the settingbs page of your device. You are also allowed to change these login details as per your convenience and liking.

In case, a user forgets this changed passwords, which is so common and frequent as these settings are not changes on a frequent basis, then generally he is allowed to reset the settings of the router to the factory default through a hardware reset butting, usually provided on the chassis of the device.
