Avira Antivirus Personal Free Review

Avira Antivirus Personal is the freeware version of the popular antivirus solution from Avira. Avira is very popular in some part of the globe, for instance in Germany, but in many lab tests, the malware detection and removal rates have not been able to be comparable to some of the best in the industry.

The auto update feature also is not able download all the latest virus definition files in one go and sometimes manual intervention and download is required to be done for keeping them updated to the latest release.

What I liked most about Avira is its clean interface, which allows you to do the basic tasks easily without any confusion. It does not come bundled with lots of bells and whistles in the form of features. But you can rely upon it for the basic task of malware detection and cleaning, although we still will vote in favor of Avast Free Antivirus.
